2018 will be the year of opportunity for you! Rowan-Cabarrus Community College, the Navigation Nation, has been planning ahead for new programs to serve our over 20,000 students in partnership with our counties, school systems, institutions and businesses. The private contributions raised through our foundation in the previous three years for scholarships and buildings will be invested to improve the opportunities for advancement for our growing student body. The higher the educational attainment of each person, the more lives will be changed, and the more prosperous the region will become.

In January we break ground on the North Carolina Research Campus for our new 65,000 square foot Advanced Technology Center that will revolutionize our community’s workforce development resources and solutions. Our Cabarrus Business and Technology Center on Concord Parkway will house our new light diesel program. In Kannapolis, we will increase our nursing program by fifty percent and move our 300 plus students to our newly designed cosmetology/Certified Nursing Assistant/ EMT educational facility on Cannon Blvd.

Working with Duke Energy, the college’s North Campus will complete its solar roof top and ground mounted systems, the earnings from which will allow the college to invest more in foundation operations, scholarships and professional development for years ahead.

As the nation’s fourth most wired large community college, we are using technology to improve all services and educational experiences for our students.

Make 2018 your year by investing in yourself and joining the Navigation Nation! We encourage you to find out more about next steps at www.rccc.edu/apply.
