NCRC Offers Start-Ups Advantages

June 30, 2015

While touring the NC Research Campus (NCRC), founders of a West Coast biotech start-up were impressed to find in one place the resources they need to launch their business:

Collaborations exploring plant-based phytochemicals with scientists at the NC State Plants for Human Health Institute.

Product testing with the Appalachian State University Human Performance LaboratorySpectrum Discovery Center and the UNC Nutrition Research Institute’s Human Research Core.

Proof of concept, product development and clinical trials support working with the scientists at the David H. Murdock Research Institute.

Affordable space in either the NCRC’s flexible office space or third ready-to-go laboratory suite. Both will be available for occupancy in early October.

Central location with easy access to the interstate, the Charlotte area’s growing life science sector and the state’s biotech industry.

Find out more about opportunities for your business at the NCRC by emailing Clyde Higgs, NCRC’s executive vice president of operations and business development.
