The Rowan Cabarrus Walk to End Alzheimer’s is Saturday, September 19 at the NCRC.
MURDOCK Study Project Leader Perla Nunes is co-chair, and she invites every one on campus to join her in supporting the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, this inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to reclaim the future for millions. Just by walking, you can change the level of Alzheimer’s and dementia awareness in our community and empower individuals, family members, friends and community members to take action to help people live the fullest lives possible.
WALK EVENT DETAILS:
9 am to 10 am: Pre-event activities and registration.
10 am to 10:15: Walk Opening Ceremony w/ Promise Garden Dedication.
The two-mile walk route will open at 10:15 am.
Walk festivities typically conclude by noon.
