Ginger: A Potential Treatment for Anemia

gingerGinger is a spice recognized for its tangy flavor and its many health benefits. TinChung Leung, PhD, of NC Central University and Shengmin Sang, PhD, of NC A&T State University, both scientists at the NC Research Campus, have collaborated on a series of studies using a zebrafish model that found ginger may be a treatment for anemia commonly caused by chemotherapy or renal disease.
