WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – April 2, 2014 – DataChambers, a full-service information technology and managed services firm, today announced it has added three key positions to its management team. The company has hired a new corporate marketing manager, as well as new business development managers for both the Charlotte and Triangle markets.
Ben Gelnett is new marketing manager for DataChambers, based in Charlotte. With 15 years of experience in advertising, design and marketing, he will be responsible for building the company’s brand. Gelnett comes to DataChambers from Parker Poe Adams & Bernstein, where he was business development liaison for North and South Carolina. He is a former senior graphic designer at Birdsong Gregory, a Charlotte marketing agency, and a former member of the creative team for international in-store music retailer Mood Media. Gelnett currently serves on the Board of Directors for AIGA Charlotte, the local chapter of a national design advocacy organization.
DataChambers has hired Terra Boddy as a business development manager for the Charlotte region – responsible for introducing businesses to a new data center DataChambers is building on the North Carolina Research Campus near Charlotte. Boddy joins DataChambers with extensive experience in technology sales and marketing. Most recently, she was enterprise account manager at DukeNet Communications, where she sold fiber optic connectivity. She also was a sales and marketing specialist with AirTight Mechanical in Charlotte, where she represented HVAC and power maintenance services to data centers and corporate offices.
Boddy will work closely with Brian Cesca, who joined DataChambers as a new Charlotte-area business development manager last year.
Marilyn Tilley has been hired as business development manager for the Raleigh-Durham region. She comes to DataChambers with a wealth of experience in business-to-business technology sales. Most recently she was a business consultant with TW Telecom, where she represented voice, Internet and data solutions. Tilley is a former senior enterprise account manager for T-Mobile and a former public sector account executive for Sprint/Nextel communications. She helped IOCOM launch in the Raleigh-Durham market and is a former regional manager for MedFusion.
Tilley will work closely with Brent Wall, regional vice president for DataChambers in the Raleigh-Durham market. Together they will introduce clients to the high-availability data center DataChambers opened in Raleigh last year.
“We’re at an exciting juncture in the growth of our company and are adding individuals who have the unique blend of experience we need to take us to the next level,” says Nicholas Kottyan, CEO of DataChambers. “With their background in data centers, vertical industries, marketing and sales, Ben, Terra and Marilyn are great additions to our team.
