Update 2015 Competition Winners:
Student Ventures Winner CommuniGift (UNC Chapel Hill) raised a seed round from Charlotte angel investors and founder Thomas Doochin had this to say… “CVC was a rare opportunity to pitch alongside many seasoned entrepreneurs… It was fantastic to immerse ourselves in a community outside of our network at UNC Chapel Hill.”
Grand Prize Winner General Graphene raised an $8.7 million seed round from CVC judge Eric Dobson of Angel Capital Group who said, “CVC is always a highlight for the year. At last year’s show, we met the company that would become our largest investment in our history. That kind of networking is invaluable to both the investor and entrepreneurial communities of Charlotte and across the Southeast!”
